GOOD LUCK TO BLACK GUARD; COMPETING IN THE SAN DIEGO POWER REGIONALS THIS
WEEKEND!
GHS WINTER SHOW: March 20th. This is our indoor guard and drumline show that we host.
This is our biggest winter fundraiser and we will need your help. All parents of students
participating in the winter programs are expected to work the show in some capacity. Please
contact Sheri Pierce to let her know what area you would like to work
in.
If you are able to donate any of the items listed below for the concession stand, we would
greatly appreciate it! Please contact Amie Gaudioso if you are able to
donate any of the requested items. Thanks in advance for your continued support of our
band programs, we could not make all this happen without the support of our parents and
alumni.
Requested Items: Frito Lay Count Variety Pack (50–1oz bags) available @ CostCo & Sams
Club; Drinks: Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, Mtn. Dew, Powerade or Gatorade and
bottles of water.
BUTTERBRAIDS
BUTTERBRAIDS: Just in time for Easter. Order forms will go home on March 8, and they will
be due back on March 23. You will have time over spring break to sell them. Delivery will be
on March 31 at 4:00 pm. Cost is $10 each, due at time of order. You receive $4.00 for each
one you sell to go towards your band fees for next year, with 10% of that going back to the
GBB general fund. Start spreading the word now. Any questions, contact Carolyn Gieszl.
DRUMLINE
Drumline uniforms are $60. Balance must be paid in full by next week to receive uniform.
PARENT PERFORMANCE & DRESS REHEARSAL:
When: March 6th after the 9am – 9pm practice. Time: TBD

COLOR GUARD
Black Guard Uniforms are $105, full amount due before leaving for San Diego on Friday, Feb.
26th. Gold Guard uniforms are $85. Guard uniforms will be in soon, Balance must be paid
in full to receive uniform.
WGI SAN DIEGO POWER REGIONALS
When: February 27 & 28

Ticket Prices: Prelims $13; Finals $15; Combo $25; Non-Finalist Backside Seating $5.
GUARD CAR WASH: Saturday, March 6th 10:00am-1:30pm @ Arbys on Gilbert Rd &
Guadalupe. Both Gold and Black Guards will be at this location. PARENTS, WE NEED YOUR

GBB BOARD INFO
GILBERT BAND BOOSTERS are the parent organization that supports the Gilbert High Band
programs. We are looking for parents interested in being on the board next year, June 1,
2010 to May 31, 2011. Boosters meet monthly and help with fundraising, uniforms, PR and
website, trips and band camp, football games, social events, band finances, drumline and
guard support, equipment and trailer maintenance, and more! If you are interested in being
on the board, or helping in any capacity, please contact Lance Libby, Band Director or Kim
Cahalan, Booster President by March 1.

Pride will earn a percentage of all money spent when items are purchased thru onecause.com

2010 TAX CREDITS. For individual credit, our treasurer, Jen, will need a COPY of your receipt.
Put student name and “band”, etc. at the bottom of the tax credit. YOU CAN PAY THROUGH
THE GILBERT PUBLIC SCHOOLS WEBSITE!
WE KNOW YOU HAVE TO EAT...ARE YOU USING GROCERY CARDS AND ESCRIP to earn money
towards individual band fees? Fry’s are rechargeable gift cards with 4-6% paid out January
and August towards fees. Can also be used to purchase gift cards for restaurants, shops,
etc.. Contact Rhonda Gatenby to purchase Fry’s cards. Safeway escrip percentage based on
amount spent towards fees. Contact Elaine Huttl through band website.
FRY'S COOL CASH! Download a bar code from band website and take to Fry's to link to your
“VIP” card (not your gift card) for a percentage paid to the band general fund.
